Experience Portland's maker culture with your own hands! In this 2-hour class you'll be designing and making your own premium leather products. No experience required!
We'll give you a tour of the shop, share the story of our small business, and take you through our small-scale production process—a unique mix of new manufacturing methods and traditional craft techniques.
About the class
To start this 2-hour class, we'll share our small business story and give you a tour of the shop. You'll get hands-on designing and creating two Woolly Made products that will be yours to keep. No experience is necessary. Along the way we'll show you our unique small-scale production process -- how we blend new manufacturing methods and traditional craft techniques.
What you get:
- 1 Custom Wallet:
For Smaller Wallets ($180): Choose between a Half, Slim, Wrap, Flip, Money Clip, Snap or Mini. Choose your leather colors, thread color, etched patterns, perf'd patterns and custom inscription. Design it and make it with us from top to bottom.
For Bigger Wallets ($230): Choose between a Landscape, Portrait, Clutch, Passport or Palm. Choose your leather colors, thread color, etched patterns, perf'd patterns and custom inscription. Design it and make it with us from top to bottom. - 1 Custom Keychain:
Choose between Clip, Swivel and Tag keychain. Choose your leather color, hardware color, etched pattern, perf'd pattern and custom inscription. Design it and make it with us from top to bottom.

Jake shared his story and told us about how he started a leather goods business which was fascinating. He is certainly very passionate about what he does and it does not go unnoticed. We went over the process of laser-cutting and got to stitch some leather pieces together. Then we created designs for our wallets and Jake sent finished products within a couple of days after. I just got mine, looks sleek and clean, I love it! I definitely recommend this experience to everyone who is looking to learn more about leather products. Also, perfect for those who are looking to glance into the vibrant entrepreneurial Portland arts scene as the workshop takes place at an old ship building warehouse filled with all sorts of artists and interesting pieces. Ask Jake for a tour!

Jake was a great host. We met at his workshop, a bright and creative area. He walked us through how to sew a wallet and leathersmithing techniques. Overall, great experience, you get to take a little part of Portland home with you.
