They say money doesn't grow on trees, but our new wallets basically do!

For years, we've been searching for a material we could use in our products for people who prefer an alternative to animal leather. But the problem is that most vegan "leather" is made with plastics, which is not only toxic for us to cut but it's also pretty bad for the planet. Those plastics are manufactured from crude oil (a non-renewable resource) in a process that dumps excess CO² into the atmosphere. And at the end of their life, the plastic in products releases harmful chemicals as it decomposes, which can take up to a thousand years!

So, we're thrilled to have found an innovative solution that moves us all toward a better, more sustainable world.

This exciting new material called MIRUM^® (made by NFW) is 100% bio-based with zero plastics. It's made from natural rubber and coconut fiber and it has properties that are very similar to our premium cow leather. And because it's made from plants, the material is sustainable and circular, meaning we can disassemble the product at the end of its life and feed the material back into the earth as nutrients, helping to create the very same plant-based material.
